My favorite movie is 'Billy Elliot'.
This movie is about the boy named Billy who lived in a coal mining region in 1980s in the UK.
At that time, it was common that men play the sports which train their bodies such as boxing to work a coal mine in the future. However, Billy had become interested in ballet, and He started and continued practice ballet even though their family and friends opposed and laughed at him.
He had a lot of difficulties to make his own way, but he finally could be a great ballet dancer in London.
This is the success story of little boy in a small town, and I could learn a lot of things from this movie, such as the situation of 1940s in the UK, and the importance of seeking my dream even though it seems impossible. I want you to watch this movie if you lost your confidence!
わたしの好きな映画は「ビリーエリオット」です。昨年授業で見る機会があったのですが、本当に色々なことを乗り越えながら、マイナスすぎるスタートから自分の中の葛藤にも耐えビリーが成長して、最後には国立バレエ団で白鳥の湖の主役を張る描写には感動したし、元気や勇気をもらいました。ぜひ見てください！
